The LED module in a ceiling fan is a circuit board carrying multiple light-emitting diodes as one integrated lighting unit. It sits behind the diffuser or lamp cover and connects to a compatible LED driver or fan-light control system. When the fan light fails, flickers, or becomes uneven, the LED module may be involved, but the driver, receiver, connector, or wiring may also be responsible.
A replacement LED module should not be selected only by diameter or LED quantity. Board shape, fixing holes, voltage, electrical input, connector, wire order, driver compatibility, and clearance inside the fan light must all match.
A ceiling fan light can contain several related components:
LED light-source module
LED driver
Remote receiver
Wiring connectors
Lamp cover or diffuser
Mounting plate and screws
The module produces light, while the driver provides the electrical output it requires. In remote-controlled fan lights, the receiver may also control switching or lighting modes.
A light that does not turn on does not automatically mean the LED board has failed. Loose connectors, a damaged driver, incorrect power input, or a receiver fault can create similar symptoms.
Switch off the ceiling fan at the appropriate circuit protection point before removing the light cover. Do not rely only on the remote control because the internal circuit may still be energized.
Wait until the blades have stopped completely. If the unit is mounted high or the wiring is unfamiliar, use qualified service personnel. Electrical work must comply with local requirements.
After removing the cover, photograph the original wiring and connector orientation before disconnecting anything. This record can prevent incorrect reassembly.
Remove the module only after confirming how it is mounted. Record:
Outside diameter or board dimensions
Board shape
Number and location of fixing holes
Hole-to-hole measurements
Connector type
Number and order of wires
Markings on the module
Driver input and output information
Clearance between the board and diffuser
Required lighting functions
Our LED module range includes 48-, 80-, and 88-LED configurations for ceiling fan lighting applications. LED quantity alone does not establish interchangeability between these modules.
The 48 LED light-source module can be evaluated for fan-light replacement and refurbishment, but matching still depends on the original board, fixing points, wiring, driver, receiver, and housing.
Flickering may come from an unstable connection or incompatible driver. A light that responds incorrectly to the remote may involve the receiver or control circuit rather than the module.
Inspect connectors for looseness, overheating, discoloration, or damaged insulation. Do not bypass protection components or connect an unknown module directly to the mains supply.
Service personnel should test the driver output according to the component instructions. If the driver and LED module are designed as a matched set, replacing both may be necessary when compatibility cannot be verified.
Position the replacement board without trapping wires beneath it. Use the intended fixing points and keep the module clear of the motor bracket, receiver, blade mechanism, and other moving components.
Reconnect the wiring according to the verified arrangement. Before reinstalling the diffuser, check that every connector is secure and no exposed conductor is present.
Restore power and test:
Normal switching
Remote response
Brightness or color functions, if supported
Light distribution
Flicker
Unusual sound or smell
Interaction with fan-speed control
Then reinstall the lamp cover securely. The final lighting appearance should be checked through the actual diffuser because its depth, pattern, and transparency influence uniformity.
We are a ceiling fan LED module wholesale supplier producing lighting components alongside BLDC motors, drivers, and remote-control systems. Our combined product range helps fan manufacturers assess the light source within the complete fan architecture.
For a wholesale replacement order, send the original module or clear photographs of both sides. Board dimensions, mounting holes, connector, wiring direction, driver information, receiver functions, order quantity, and destination should also be provided.
Our factory can discuss LED quantity, board shape, wiring method, fixing arrangement, and related production requirements. A replacement sample should be installed and tested in the original fan before bulk supply begins.
Have a failed ceiling fan light or need LED modules for production? Click here to request a quotation and send clear photos, board dimensions, fixing-hole positions, driver details, connector information, required quantity, and target market. We can then evaluate a compatible LED module more accurately.
